Content Moderation Guidelines
Last updated: January 24, 2026
These guidelines explain how MeridAIn Post moderates AI-curated content to maintain quality, accuracy, and safety standards.
1. Automated Quality Thresholds
All AI-curated articles must meet minimum quality thresholds before publication:
- Credibility Score: Articles must achieve a minimum credibility score of 60/100 based on source quality and verification
- Source Requirement: Articles must cite at least 2 independent sources
- Review Score: The automated reviewer must approve the article
2. Topics Not Covered
Our AI systems are configured to avoid or flag certain content types:
- Breaking emergencies: Fast-moving crises where misinformation risks are high
- Medical advice: Specific health recommendations (we report on health news, not provide advice)
- Financial advice: Specific investment recommendations
- Legal advice: Specific legal guidance
- Unverified claims: Rumors or single-source claims without corroboration
3. Bias Monitoring
Each article is analyzed for potential bias:
- Language analysis for loaded or emotional terms
- Source balance assessment across political spectrum
- Framing analysis for perspective bias
Articles with significant detected bias are flagged and may include additional context or be held for review.
4. Flagged Content Handling
When content is flagged by our systems:
- Automatic hold: Content is held from publication pending review
- Manual review: A human reviews the flagged content
- Resolution: Content is published, modified, or rejected
5. User-Reported Content
Readers can report content issues via the "Report Issue" button on any article. We review all reports and take action as appropriate:
- Factual errors: Corrected per our Corrections Policy
- Bias concerns: Reviewed and addressed if warranted
- Inappropriate content: Removed if it violates guidelines
6. Content Removal
We may remove content that:
- Contains significant factual errors that cannot be corrected
- Poses potential harm to individuals or groups
- Violates copyright or intellectual property rights
- Was generated due to a technical error
Removed content is logged in our corrections log.
7. Appeals Process
If you believe content was incorrectly moderated, you can appeal by contacting us. Include:
- The article URL or title
- Why you believe the moderation decision was incorrect
- Any supporting information
8. Transparency
We are committed to transparency about our moderation:
- All significant corrections and retractions are publicly logged
- Our editorial board page explains our review processes
- This policy is regularly updated as our systems evolve
